After graduating college, I worked at an international company for about 3 years. I was satisfied with my role, bosses, colleagues, and more than satisfied with the pay, but one day I realized that I was starting to feel less emotions at work; not only positive ones like excitement and joy, but even anger, frustration, and doubt. My job had become nothing more than a job: something that I was doing just in exchange for a salary. Now, I knew that I was fortunate to be in that position, but I also could not bear with the thought of spending precious time (especially in my 20’s) for work that I was not passionate about. So I quit and started my soul searching journey. I spent 9 months thinking about my next path, but the journey came to an end as I became honest with my true feelings of wanting to pursue a job that was related to the game that I had loved for over 20 years, basketball. The first word that came to mind was “ballaholic”; I actually did not know too much, but had a friend who had been a fan of the brand since high school. So I looked it up on Google to find out that Outnumber was the company that was running the brand, along with other basketball related businesses such as SOMECITY and Asphalt Roots. Dug deeper and found videos of the ballaholic documentaries, promotion videos, and SOMECITY games. I was hooked. I knew. This is it. Next thing I know I had applied, gotten interviewed, and had become one of the crew.

働く日の1日の過ごし方
I wake up at around 7AM and like to start working within the first 30 minutes of waking up, which is when I will do some type of brainstorming or take care of order management/customer inquiry tasks. After about an hour of that I will head to the gym for an hour, go back home to get ready, and then head off to either the office or warehouse. I will arrive at around 10AM and will get started on my tasks, which vary day by day but most of my time is spent on working on our global online shop, brushing up on internal work flow methods or administrative tasks for the warehouse. I will go to lunch at around 1PM and will head home at around 7PM. After dinner I will hop back on to my laptop to finish up work or spend time working on a basketball podcast that is a personal project, until 10:30PM. I try to stay off digital devices for the last 30 minutes before sleeping, so this is when I do chores, and then I will go to sleep at around 11PM.
